About Us

Who we are

We are a small bakery working out of a shared commissary kitchen, we do not have a storefront (but hope to someday soon!) Because of this we do not have your typical hours of operation, so please be respectful of your scheduled pick up times. We also do not just keep products on hand to purchase immediately, everything that is ordered is baked fresh and made special for YOU! We need at least 48 hrs for all pastry orders, if you need something right away, check out some local places where our products are sold, Caviar and Bananas, Kudu, and Muddy Waters. For custom cake orders we require ten days notice, this allows us time to order/make and special decorations or ingredients that we may not have on hand.

Where does the name "Little Peanut" come from?

It is actually the owner and pastry chef's nickname given to her by her father!

Our Story

Chef DaVee HarnedThe owner and pastry chef behind Little Peanut Pastries DaVee Harned, originally from PA, started her culinary career at Johnson & Wales in Charlotte, NC. After completing her internship at The Sanctuary on Kiawah Island, she knew the low country is where she wanted to be. Shortly after graduation, she moved back to Charleston and has been working all over the city learning and refining her skills. You may have seen her at WildFlour pastry when it was downtown, Stars Rooftop and Grillroom, LB Sweets and Treats (also one of her favorite bakeries), Pawpaw, Millers All Day and Wild Olive. DaVee has also competed on Food Networks, Beat Bobby Flay in a Chocolate Covered Clash! Opening up a bakery has been a huge dream of hers, and she is thrilled it is finally coming to life.
